2016 Specialized S-Works Tarmac Frameset
In June of last year, Specialized announced the new Tarmac, moving away from the "SL" designation, to "all-new Tarmac". The SL series became lighter, stiffer and more refined with each new generation, so how could Specialized improve one of the best bicycles in the market? They went to the pros for advice. Alberto Contador claimed that the SL4 was too stiff for his liking, while riders of larger size frames claimed it was not stiff enough. Specialized had the answer. This bike is built to outperform, if paired with a good drivetrain, a light and stiff wheelset, this bike will definitely be a winner, whether you are an enthusiast, an amatuer racer or a pro. The torsional stiffness and power delivery from the Tarmac’s oversized tubing make it a fast and stable racing bike. In the S-Works Tarmac, Specialized has created a bike that’s hard to fault. It looks good, performs well and attracts a lot of comment from other riders. It is a pleasure to ride, will bring out your best, and will make you want to ride more. It’ll also deliver plenty of pain—but only to your rivals in the bunch or at the start line.
