The Racery Ride Assurance, is our guaranty that you will be 100% satisfied with your used bike purchase from us. We know it's not easy buying a bike online without even so much as a test ride. We want to remove any apprehension you may have about this process. We don't want you to be nervous or worried about buying from us, we want you to enjoy the experience. You are buying a “new” bike after all, this is supposed to be fun, and we want to make it as easy as possible. 

So when you buy a bike from us, this is what you can expect from us:

  • 55 point full bicycle inspection

How we back it up

  • we take it back within the first 30 days of purchase if it does not match what you bought
  • we send return label/on our dime with packing instructions

Here's what you'll get in the bike box with purchase so you'll know that your bike has passed our stringent inspection.

We perform this check twice on every bike, once when we receive it and a second time when we box it for shipping. We do this because we want you to be wowed when you receive the bike from The Racery.  



  • Inspect frame for any damage
    (dents, paint, cracks)
  • Inspect Fork for any damage
    (dents, paint, cracks)
  • Check headset
  • RD hanger fixing bolt
  • Suspension bolt/linkage, check
    torque on all the bolts
  • Rear shock check for pressure and
  • Front Fork check for pressure and operation
  • Remote lockouts, check operation
  • Check bottle cages bolts
  • Check Carbon access Panels, BB guide,
    Di2 frame holes


  • Adjust pad height and angle (Road / Tri / Cantilever)
  • Center caliper / brake arms (Road, Canti, Disc Brake)
  • Check brake / caliper fixing bolts
  • Brake pads check for wear, direction
    and fit to rim / rotor (All)
  • Cable, Housing, brake hose check
  • Hydraulic hose cut if necessary
  • Pressure check (Disc brake and oil leaks check


  • Cable and housing check
  • RD bolt to frame check
  • FD bolt to frame check
  • End caps on all cables
  • FD Proper height to chainring 2-3mm
  • RD/FD Limits check
  • Shifting check and adjust
  • B tension check if needed
  • Pulley check for wear and tear
  • Chain check for wear and tear
  • Chain length on all gears
  • Full crank set check, chainring bolts, play, fixing bolts, check crank arm length


  • Saddle level to the floor
  • Seatpost mid-way, clamp torqued
    to proper load
  • Stem DOWN on race bikes, UP on
    comfort bikes and MTB
  • Stem bolt torque check
  • Handlebar centered, MTB- Back sweep
    45deg towards rider
  • Check bar tape / grips
  • Shifters / brake levers in place
  • MTB – 45deg down
  • Check Aerobar bolts
  • Check Aerobar, Shifters and
    Bar-end braking lever
  • Dropper post, check operation, lever


  • Check Tires for wear, tear, cuts
  • Check rims for wear and cracks
  • Inflate tires to proper Psi F+R
  • Hub check F+R, rotation and play
  • Disc brake bolts check F+R , Centerlock
    lockring tight to 40nm
  • Check rotor for wear and balance
  • Cassette lockring tight to 40nm
  • Wheel true and spoke tension
  • Quick release tight to the frame
  • Remove Reflectors, Pie plate, Valve caps


  • Lapierre, check Ei System, charge battery
  • Shimano Di2 / Mechanical FD check
    support bolt to frame, verify protecting
    plate in place on carbon frames
  • Shimano Di2 E-tube updates verify
  • Shimano Di2 / Campy EPS
    battery fully charged
  • Shimano Di2 / Campy charger with bike
